Friðheimar Greenhouse

Friðheimar is very much a family affair, a

greenhouse run by a family, harvesting the geothermal energy in the area to grow tomatoes and cucumbers among other things.

They will welcome you to their greenhouse, where you will learn little bit what it takes to grown vegetables in rural part of Iceland in winter and then sit down and enjoy a really nice lunch, surrounded by thousands of tomatoes’ plants. Something you don´t do every day.

Another thing worth mentioning is they have a killer Bloody Mary and even their own Tomato Beer!
